Prof. Dr. Harun Bilirgen
1970 yılında Yozgat’ın Sorgun ilçesinde doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini Sorgun/Yozgat’ta tamamladı. 1992 yılında Çukurova Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği bölümünden bölüm birinci olarak mezun oldu. 1994-2000 yılları arasında Lehigh Üniversitesi (ABD) Makine Mühendisliği Bölümünde yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimini tamamladı. 2001 yılından itibaren aynı üniversitenin Enerji Araştırmaları Merkezinde ‘Principal Research Scientist’ olarak görevine başladı. Doç. Dr. Harun Bilirgen fosil yakıtlı elektrik üretim santrallerinin verimlerinin arttırılması ve emisyonlarının azaltılması için teknoloji geliştirilmesi, geliştirilen teknolojilerin sanayide uygulanması,emisyon kontrol tekolojileri, bio-yakıt üretimi için kentsel atık su ve termik santrallerin baca gazını kullanarak yosun üretimi yapabilen foto bio-reaktör tasarım ve optimizasyonu, küçük ve orta ölçekli endüstriyel tesislerde enerji maliyetlerinin düşürülmesi, katı-gaz iki fazlı akışların deneysel ve nümerik yöntemler ile modellenmesi alanlarında çalışmaktadır. 150`nin üzerinde teknik rapor, 100`ün üzerinde makale ve konferans yayını, 7 tane ABD patenti ve Türkiye`de 3 adet patent başvurusu vardır. Doç. Dr. Harun Bilirgen’ in çalışma alanları fosil yakıtlı elektrik üretim tesislerinde kömür kurutma ve zenginleştirme, on-line kömür analizörü, yanma optimizasyonu, ısı transferi yüzeylerinde cüruflanma ve depozit oluşumu, atık ısı ve su geri kazanım sistemleri, kömür işleme sistemleri, yakıcı ve yanma sistemleri, NOx, SOx, civa ve toz emisyonları kontrol teknolojileri üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri başta olmak üzere, Kanada, Çin, Türkiye ve Meksika da altmıştan fazla termik santralde proje gerçekleştirmiştir.
20 yılı aşkın bir süredir Amerika Birleşik Devletlerinde biriktirdiği tecrübelerini Ülkemize aktarmak amacı ile 2013 yılı başlarında Türkiye`ye dönüş yapmış ve Çukurova Üniversitesi Teknokent bünyesinde açtığı TABi ENERJİ firmasıyla Ar-Ge faaliyetlerine ve Türkiye ağırlıklı olmak üzere değişik ülkelerde ki projelerine devam etmektedir. Özellikle yerli ve ithal kömüre dayalı termik santrallerde verimliliğin arttırılması, düşük kaliteli linyit rezervlerimizin elektrik üretiminde etkin olarak kullanılması ve emisyonlarının azaltılması konularında geliştirdiği teknolojilerle ve tecrübeleriyle ülkemizdeki birçok santralde başarılı çalışmalara imza atmaktadır.
